It can be too late but it can never be too early

  • Signs of autism can be seen as early as 3 months and, once detected, could prevent the lifelong diagnosis of autism being applied.
  • Most people are aware of autism.. but what is Pre-autism?
  • Some behaviours, visible as early as 3 months of age (sometimes from birth) can indicate difficulty in emotional regulation and, left untreated, will lead to the diagnosis of autism. These signs are called Pre-autistic behaviours.
  • The approach we follow with proven success is ‘psychodynamic’ and deals exclusively with emotions.
  • The Parent Infant Clinic, and its multidisciplinary team, can provide for these difficulties to be addressed.
  • We need your help to make parents aware that autism is preventable and a child with autistic behaviours is able to have a mainstream education and full social life.
